Heating equipment
A thoughtful and efficient heating system is a guarantee of the comfort of your home. After all, a healthy atmosphere in the house depends on the efficiency of heat generation and its distribution in the room, because winter cold and dampness harm the general condition of walls, floors, and furniture. Therefore, a variety of modern heating equipment will help you choose the best option for heating your home.
There are two main types of heating systems typical for our country: centralized and autonomous heating.
In the first case, the user must decide only on the equipment for the distribution of heat in the house, and the heating devices, accordingly, are concentrated in a special boiler room.
If you are the owner of an apartment or a house with autonomous heating, your task is a little more difficult: you need to do your selection of all elements of the heating system: a heat generator (a boiler that directly generates heat), pipes and other necessary components of the heating system.
Heating systems differ mainly according to the boiler type of the heat generator. They can be gas, electric, solid fuel (coal, wood, or special granular fuel), and liquid fuel (most often they run on diesel fuel).
Today, alternative heating methods are also becoming more and more popular: solar collectors, heat pumps, etc. Despite the environmental friendliness of these systems, as well as the relatively low cost of operation, they are not very popular, because the purchase of such equipment requires significant costs, and installation can be associated with certain difficulties.
Boilers, as one of the types, have their advantages and disadvantages. Thus, gas and electric boilers are easy to install and operate, although their use is becoming more and more expensive. The advantageous difference between these most common types of heat generators is their safety and the ability to go without maintenance for a long time. In this, boilers for solid and liquid fuels lose to them, which require a constant supply of it, therefore they are considered less convenient to use. It is advisable to install boilers of these types if it is not possible to purchase heat generators for gas or electricity or create a combined heating system.
In any heating system, heat is distributed throughout the house using special devices – radiators. They are also distinguished by several types: steel, cast iron; aluminum, and bimetallic (steel and aluminum). The choice in favor of one type or another should be based on the productivity of the boiler, the size of the heated room, financial capabilities, and other individual factors.
As additional heating systems at home, you can also use convectors, which belong to the category of the safest types of heating equipment. The main advantage of using them is the ability to easily turn off or turn on the device, move it to another room. When turned on, the convectors warm up quickly, so that such an addition to the main heating system will undoubtedly add to its efficiency and allow you to combine different methods of heating the premises. And this – without making changes to the general scheme of heat distribution.
